I think that this was taken from Wu Nam Street looking to the East, where the bridge would later be built onto the lower part of Ap Lei Chau, where the woods are on this photograph. (Andrew S)

This is looking back towards Staunton's creek area. The wooded part is the headland that houses the Seminary.

Thanks Phil.  So the hill that I thought was Ap Lei Chau, is actuually still on the main Island, and Peter was probably standing close to where I thought but a bit further to the East?  it's all changed. No wonder I had a job trying to work out where I was whenI went there to take some 'then and now' photographs around in the early 2000s!  Regards Andrew
