The deep cutting at the top of the Cape Collinson road, where it joins the Shek O road, was just wide enough to accommodate the R.A.F.'s 3 ton lorries. While walking through the cutting one airman came across an angry cobra blocking his way. He decided to wait until it had slithered to the other end rather than risk passing it.
