His parent's graves are in the British Cemetery in Hong Kong, his father Thomas Henry Martin being the Superintendent of the GPO in Hong Kong at the time of my father's birth (1908).
I have just started the journey of tracking my father's side of the family, so any data you may have would be helpful.

The 1933 Blue Book shows
The 1933 Blue Book shows Henry Stuart Martin working in the Treasury as an Assistant Accountant, and that the date of his first appointment was 1st March 1925. So it looks as though he joined the civil service as his first job.

Father passed away on 18 January 1964 in Surbiton, Surrey, England, aged 56.
