This is an interesting looking building. I wonder if it was built as a school, or originally used for something else?

It's a buddhist school, connected to the Po Kok school on Shan Kwong Road.

These premises were originally a villa which was built by a philanthropist Tang King Po in 1920s. The villa was donated by Ms Tang Kwai-yuk, daughter of Mr Tang King-po to the Tung Lin Kok Yuen as its school campus in 1950s .

Originally it was the Tang King Po Mansion.

Tang King Po was a Hong Kong businessman with many schools built in his name. He died in 1956. His daughter donated his mansion to Tung Lin Kok monastery which also built many schools. They built the Yuen Long branch in 1958 at the site of Tang King Po Mansion. It was calledYuen Long Po Kok Primary School.
