The Mount Davis Battery was heavily bombed and attacked by Japanese forces between December 11 to 16, 1941, during the Battle of Hong Kong.
December 11: The Japanese began shelling and launching aerial and mortar attacks against the Mount Davis Battery after the battery engaged enemy forces attempting to land on Lamma Island.
December 14: Intense enemy fire hit the upper gun, plotting room, and anti-aircraft position, causing several casualties among the gun crew.
December 16: A massive coordinated strike involving 62 Japanese army and navy bombers heavily targeted the site, destroying the command center.
Jubilee Battery - Timeline
Jubilee Battery (also known as Victoria Jubilee Battery) is a historic World War II coastal defense battery in Hong Kong, located at the foot of Mount Davis on Hong Kong Island, at the junction of Victoria Road and Mount Davis Road.
It was primarily garrisoned by the 26th Coastal Artillery Battery of the 12th Coastal Regiment of the British Royal Artillery.

Armament: Three 6-inch breech-loading (BL) coastal defense guns designated for counter-bombardment.
