The date on the back of this photo is 27 November 1937 (a Saturday), so this would have been my father's 5th birthday party. My father, David Bottomley, is the little boy in white, seated in the second row from the front, fourth child from the left. Big sister Marjorie is the girl with the plaits, sitting diagonally behind him to the left.
