This photo from William Richmond Fell's 1928 Hong Kong album seems to be of the waterfront. I'd be grateful to know what we are looking at here. I presume that the two items projecting skywards are significant, but I don't know what they are. Help please!

I will try magnifying the photo. There is another similar messy and dark photo labelled "Titania" that may have been taken at the same time. Titania was seemingly anchored to the right of this picture, but I may be wrong.

The subject area proves to be too dense to make out anything of what was being photographed.

Maybe Titania is the large vessel in the distance and the foreground is incidental. Even WRF seems to have forgotten the reason for the photograph by the time he stuck it in.
