Passed by this salt water service reservoir (and its fresh water sibling just behind it), high above Shau Kei Wan, just behind Tung Hei Court.
The plaque stated that it was built in 1993. A cursory search online has not returned any meaningful information about this facility, likely due to it being built before handover? Only found this 1998 government bulletin mentioning an additional reservoir east of this one to supplement the area's growing population.

Yiu Tung Estate nearby started occupation in 1994. In this respect the timing seems right as such a big development has to be supported.
