From 1972, the building has been used by Shue Yan University as the secondary school division. Shue Yan filed an application to modify the building to hostel units for students/staff (Planning application A/H5/422).
In the photo, construction has reached the 4th floor, with only 1 floor left to be completed before school started in 1956.
On the left of Victoria College, is No. 6 Wan Chai Gap Road. The old building (with 6 windows) in the photo still existed in 1972 and was demolished by late-1973. Fu Yi Court was built on it in 1987.
