1963 Morrison hill

Still a lot of squatter huts in 1963. All of them had been cleared before 1969 when Tang Shiu Kin hospital opened .

If one walks along the eastern boundary of the Morrison Hill along Morrison Hill road and then Marsh Road to the waterfront, one reaches the tallest buildings in that neighborhood. The Kam Kwok building (金國大廈) was on the east side of Marsh Road. Kwok Man building (國民大廈) was on the west side.

Hi there,

I believe the big house marked #4 was the haunted house we school boys nearby went traspassing in thr 1970's.  I had been there twice, I think.   It was already abandoned.  It was partially collasped (or the demolishment stopped) with a big staircase.  There appeared to basement but it was flooded.  No furnitures inside.

No wonder it was just opposite the cemetery. It was convenient for the residents on the other side to come over.

Hi there,

When Wah Yan was granted the plot on Mount Parish, it included the located marked #2 in the photo.  As shown in the photo it is vacant as the Jesuits deemed they do not need that plot in Shiu Fai Terace, it was left for the Diocese to decide for its use.  Not until 1965, St. Margaret School was escablished there.

Now that St. Margaret had moved to Sam Shui Po (near MTR Nam Cheong Station) in 2003, Raymondi moved into the site afterwards.
