George Griggs was a telephone engineer. He was a member of the Royal Engineers 1911 (or earlier) to 1924.
As he communicated with the British Army Aid Group, it's possible he was one of the radio technicians who operated an illegal listening service in Stanley Camp, but this has not yet been definitely established.
