Hi all, we lived in Hong Kong 1953-55. My dad was in the 1st Kings Reg and was posted to Hong Kong from Korea. I was 9 years old at the time, first we lived in Minden Ave in Kowloon a quiet little ave which backed on to Signal Hill. I have looked at it now on Google earth and it is unrecognisable today. We then moved to the Sek Kong Village, which was all prefabs then, looking at that area now (which is closed) shows blocks of flats a swimming pool and a new school, none of which were there when we were, I have joined the Facebook page for the village but everyone on the site was there in the 70s 80s and has no info for me at all. I would really like to see some 50s photos, someone must have some somewhere.
