Building on Middle Road 1930's facing Nathan Road (What could that Building be......jpg

Can someone please tell me what these two buildings are, which are located on the right side of the Peninsula Hotel. This must be Nathan Road in front.

Having worked at the Peninsula Hotel for over 20 years, and now retired, we have a large collection of old photographs of the Pen, but we could never quite figure out what it was. Kowloon Hotel ? It looks very small.
