The following notes are on the history of IL 1379 R.P., NOT of the building (Kennedy Road Junior Schoo) as such.
1. On 15.6.1896 the land was sold to Hong Kong Land Investment & Co. (Rent Roll; Title Deed)
2. As from 1900, ownership ofthe land changed to a Li Tuen-cheuk (Rent roll)
3.As from 1901, ownership changed to Kwok Siu-lan. (Rent roll)
4. Asfrom 1902, ownership changed again to Banque deL. Indo-china (Rent roll)
5. According to the 1905 Rates Book, a building, named Selbourne Villas - No. 1, was put up there and numbered as 8, Kennedy Road.
6. The building was re-numbered as 28, Kennedy Road in 1927. (1927 Rates Book)
7. As from 26.3.1931, ownership of the building was changed to the "Directors of the Japanese Residents Association of Hong Kong". (1931 Rates Book)
8.Until 1941, the building was held as "Custodian Property" (Rates Book 1941)
9. On 30.12.1952, it was surrendered to the Crown (Title deed)
10. For the post-war history of the building, use "FIN 36/41/22" a Finance Branch file in the Government Secretariat.
