This food kitchen was located on Hennessy Rd, Wanchai and was one of four kitchens that provided a single meal each day to the needy. Nine hundred people would be served in this one kitchen alone. On production of food stamps, the hungry would receive a bowl of thick congee consisting of ordinary and red rice, soya beans, meat. liver, potatoes and vegetables.
