We stayed just one night at the August Moon Hotel in May 1969.
We were overnighting en route from London to Singapore (!) in the company of Lloyd International aircrew flying an, even then, ancient Bristol Britannia. I remember well the great evening we had in the restaurant, having tiresomely hopped and skipped via Rotterdam, Ankara, Basra, Rangoon. The meal was superb after suffering awful food en route! The next morning it was back to Kai Tak for the hop back to Singers.
