Us boys from a Catholic high school watched the "Ten Commandments" under the watchful eyes of our teachers (Brothers) who ensured we behaved. I also watched "The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)" and the theatre had a small replica of the bridge made of bamboo on its outside wall.
